Trish has been an athlete all her life. She grew up in a family that was active and involved in sports year round. As a teenager, softball was her passion. She traveled to the Nationals in softball when she was 15 and then again at the age of 16 and 18. In college she held numerous pitching records for Mansfield University softball team including most shutouts. In 1991 she pitched a perfect game.
After college, Trish’s love for pitching dwindled, but not her love for sports. She continued to be active working out at the gym as well as playing on several recreation teams including soccer, volleyball and softball. In 1994 she began to teach fitness classes at American Fitness. She worked there for 14 years , the last 5 as the coordinator of the aerobic program.
In 2008, Trish was diagnosed with Leukemia and less than 6 months later had a liver transplant. Due to her low immune system, she was unable to return to the gym to teach her fitness classes. Since then, she has teamed up with partner Traci to teach fitness classes at her studio and now focuses on spin classes and boot camps. Her true passion is group fitness classes.
When she is not being active at the studio or on one of her 4 sports teams, Trish can be found in the classroom. She has been a special education teacher for over 18 years. She loves her work with special needs children. She also volunteers her time at the church, as a committee member for Western Broome Relay for Life and is currently helping 10 co-workers train to run a 5k in the spring.
Trish believes with the right mindset, anything is possible!
