November Member of the Month – Sarah Eisele

Congratulations to Sarah Eisele, our November Member of the Month!

Sarah is a mom of two, John (5) and Gabby (2).  John is part of our CrossFit Kids family and his sister, Gabby, will be joining him in the Spring when she turns 3!  Sarah married her high school sweetheart and enjoys going for motorcycle rides on his Harley… when the weather cooperates!  Other hobbies she enjoys besides CrossFit are shopping, trips with her family and visiting family near and far.

Sarah teaches fifth grade at Johnson City Elementary School.  She considers her students a part of her own family, stating that many of them need lots of help academically and emotionally.

Sarah has been a part of our fitness family since April 2017.  During that time she has excelled as an athlete and grown as a person.  She said, “CrossFit has made a huge impact on me within the past year and a half, both physically and mentally.”

She is no stranger to sports since middle school but says none have compared to the combination of toughness and fun of CrossFit.  “I’ve never lifted so much weight nor thought I possibly could”, she said.

Her favorite CrossFit movements include anything with a barbell, and her least favorite movement is wall balls.  But, love the movement or not, she gives 100% to every task she’s given.

One of her coaches, Jessica Rocco, says, “Sarah is the true definition of hard work. She loves a challenge and will do it with a smile on her face. She encourages all around her and works through every task put in front of her!”

Sarah recently competed in Albany CrossFit’s Fall Face Off in September and CrossFit Sona’s first competition, Sona Slam, last month.

“Sarah is an exceptional athlete.”, said Traci Meier,  “In just 18 months she’s had incredible gains in fitness.  She takes on challenges like a champion, continuing to impress me every day!”
